There is alot of variablity within this locality regarding colour and pattern. The main colour scheme is that of greys and browns, but some specimens are known that exhibit yellow, pink and red tones. The dorsal blotches are often elongated dorso-laterally, and sometimes fuse together. The longitudinal stripes are also absent or only very faint. The one identifying feature of Chersky Dione Ratsnakes is the arrangement of the ventral blotches which are rectangular and regular in shape. These can either run in two rows on the edge of the ventrals or in a chequered pattern, they also have an almost 3D appearance to them and a beautiful depth of shine, almost like a hologram.

Chersky Dione Ratsnakes are of particular interest to hobbyists because of the genetic potential of the Tiger, Orange and S-Reds that have been produced by selective breeding of a Wild Caught Chersky who had a dark cherry red colouration.
