Orange Dione Ratsnakes are also marketed under the name of 'Sunglow', a very apt and descriptive name. Orange Dione's are from the Chersky complex and a result of breeding two Tiger Diones together. The genetics haven't been fully worked out yet, from a clutch of Tiger x Tiger eggs it appears that only one quarter are of the Orange morph, the rest of the clutch are normal looking.

Orange Diones have four longitudinal reddy brown stripes with a background colour of bright orange, along the sides near the ventral scales the background colour fades out to yellow. The ventral scales  are devoid of markings and suffused in orange. The head markings are also greatly reduced. First bred by Tula Exotarium in Russia, this morph is only known in a handful of collections at present. Hatchlings are born with a washed out appearance and the colour brightens and intensifies over the first 18 months.
